Linda lives and paints in Wells-next-the-Sea on the stunning North Norfolk coast. Her daily walks with her labradors provide her with endless inspiration.
She started her career as a knitwear designer after gaining an MDes from the Royal College of Art. Switching to painting in 1996, she spent several years learning techniques and discovering her style. Working in both oils and acrylics, she uses a palette knife and thickening mediums to build up impasto layers. Painting in her studio, always to music, she then combines things she has seen on her walks with the ideas in her head. She works quickly, building up layers of colour and texture until she feels she has achieved her goal.
‘Mixing colour is something I take a lot of time over, intensifying them and often adding splashes of very bright or neon accents.’
Linda sells her work from her studio and her website.
