Karen constructs imaginary landscapes by carefully selecting objects from various paintings and photographs. There is a stillness, a contemplation of space and time. Narratives are ambiguous, and nothing looks real.
For the first time, Karen experiments with printmaking, and there is an ebb and flow between print, digital, analogue collage and paint. Karen explores the same imagery using these different techniques. The results are a varied use of colour, which strays into small sculptural works using these print techniques. This exhibition gives us an insight into Karen's process, showing us the results of these experiments and a glimpse of what may come next.
