Following the theme of the division between land and sea, Keith presents a series of abstract observations from the coast looking toward the constant horizon of the sea. He plays with this line, the dominant feature in his works, to produce a set of intriguing images through the use of acrylics and photo-digital montage.
‘I enjoy this linear consistency the horizon offers in its division of space, between foreground and distance, the play of flat and horizontal plains in a series of horizontal bands, of the above and beneath. In some cases I use found typographic elements, whilst in other images use pure texture which offers consistent change in contrast to the constant line of the horizon.’
